HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This nationally recognised course is designed for educators and carers working in childcare, early learning centres, preschools and schools. It meets ACECQA and regulatory requirements for first aid training in education and care settings.

Participants will gain the knowledge and practical skills required to respond to medical emergencies involving infants and children, including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis management.

This course includes:

• HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

• HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

• HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Course content includes:

• CPR for infants, children and adults

• Managing asthma and anaphylaxis emergencies

• Bleeding, fractures, burns and medical conditions

• Incident response and reporting in childcare environments
